The crazy things a man will do to save his soul from the DEA. Law enforcement and their snitch go to hysterical lengths to ensnare our crew as the dominoes begin to fall. The lawyers insist Trinity come up with some pitiful reason other than doing it for the money as to why she was involved in the drug industry; even though prosecutors, judges, and the prison industry are all about money.

Highway robbery, when done by the man, is known as civil asset forfeiture. In the contest to see who can get away with the most, highway patrol and DEA tend to come out on top since the law allows them to steal your money, cars, and other stuff. After doing her time, Trinity goes to Takashi–her most favorite place to eat–gets a surprise for her birthday and a lesson in how those assets are spent.

Trinity has issues with authority. She goes through a metal detector in Provo and instead gets into a fight with a cop. Reminiscing about the day the Feds busted into her home, took Bob away, and she was arrested. Davis County jail is a good place to set goals.

Our couriers aren’t in Kansas anymore as they venture outside the Emerald Triangle. Come along with Trinity on the yellow brick road to a field of poppies in Shelter Cove, through a gauntlet of living speed bumps in Lassen Forest, into the onion-domed wonder of St. Orr’s resort in Gualala, and the danger that awaits traffickers on the cliffs of the Mendocino Coast.

The heart of the Emerald Triangle beats in Garberville. Trinity and Bob pick up many of their loads from the Mormon farmers and dealers nearby. Meditating Buddhas, cartel breakfasts, and kingpin hangouts are hidden in plain sight in this charming Humboldt County hamlet.

Hauling ass, while carrying a load: that’s the dilemma confronting Trinity and Bob as they speed along with other Mormon NASCAR want-a-be’s for the last miles of the Triangle into Salt Lake City. Trade craft didn’t end for the couriers until the load was delivered all in one piece to the safe house.

Trinity and Bob stop for the night in Boise and go down the rabbit hole of Freak Alley. Navigating through an Amber Alert roadblock, and parking next to a K-9 unit break up Idaho’s pastoral scenery. Trinity is convinced this rural state is a hot-bed of sophisticated hicks and rocket scientists.


Trinity’s Emerald Triangle S:1 E:11 “Quantum Karaoke”



Portland’s 205 Beltway is an accident waiting to happen- especially when you’re hauling. Trinity gives advice to wanna-be singers practicing into their hair brushes. Northern Oregon finds our couriers winding along the mighty Columbia River, stopping for hot chocolate at Multnomah Falls, eating lunch in prison towns, and getting past predator security guards.

Our couriers pick up their load and start the drive home. Winding their way north with 100 pounds, they spot hidden cops, stop at Hiouchie’s Café, and meet warm friendly servers. Oregon has it all—mountains shaved bald, reluctant gas attendants, baby lambs, and bar fights in Roseburg.
